Vast majority want immigration reversed

According to a poll conducted byThe Irish Times and published in todays paper (24 November 09), the vast majority (72 percent) of Irish people wish to see immigration of non-Irish nationals reversed.

The poll reveals that 43 percent of people say they would like to see some immigrants leave the State, while 29 percent would like to see most immigrants leave.

The poll also reveals the attitude of Irish youth towards the immigration-invasion showing that an even greater majority (81 percent) of young people (aged 18-24) would like to see the number of immigrants in Ireland dropped.

Unemployment in the state is currently at 21.5% [CSO] with young people worst affected.
